Tickets
& Licences
Tickets and licences required will depend on the role you're applying for. You must hold and provide proof of current competencies at time of application.
Employment is subject to RIW verification, rail medical fitness, fitness for work, and meeting all client induction requirements.
Applicants MUST live in the towns listed or close surrounding suburbs. Applications from outside Broadford, Wandong, Seymour, Euroa, Benalla, Tallarook and surrounding towns will not be considered.
This recruitment campaign is for KPI Traffic Control rural Victoria rail crews only.

Victoria adopted a new National Training Framework on 1 March 2024. If your traffic ticket was issued before that date:
- It remains valid only 3 years from the date of issue.
- Final industry cutoff: 1 March 2027 — no old-format ticket is accepted after this date, regardless of issue date.
- If your ticket was issued on/after 1 Mar 2024, you\'re already on the new framework.
- Unsure which you hold? Upload clear photos and we\'ll confirm when we contact you.
KPI will not place workers whose tickets expire mid-engagement. Plan your transition early.
1Victorian Traffic Tickets
Minimum required — hold ALL of:
- TC1 Traffic Controller Level 1
- TC2 Traffic Controller Level 2
- TMI1 Traffic Management Implementer Level 1
- TMI2 Traffic Management Implementer Level 2
Ideal (in addition to above):
- TMI3 Traffic Management Implementer Level 3
Old framework equivalent (pre 1 Mar 2024):
Valid only within 3 years of issue date. All old-format tickets cease 1 March 2027 — see transition notice above.

2Heavy Vehicle / TMA
- RIIRTM301E Operate Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA Operators only)
- HR Licence Required for Pod Truck and TMA Operators
- Driver's Licence Current Australian driver's licence
3Rail — Minimum Required
You must currently hold valid (in-date) rail qualifications to be considered. These are the minimum required for the role. If you hold most but are missing one or more items below, you must be willing to complete them before onboarding — our project onboarding team will reach out to shortlisted applicants to coordinate any gaps.
- RIW Card Rail Industry Worker Card (national)
- TLIF0020 Safely Access the Rail Corridor (formerly RISI / SARC / SWIRC)
- V/Line Network Rules induction loaded onto RIW
- Cat 3 Rail Medical Current or willing to obtain
- Drug & Alcohol clearance Fitness for duty required
4General Construction & Safety
