CARPENTER
KPI Labour Hire is currently recruiting skilled Carpenters to join our expanding team on ongoing projects throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. This is a great chance to lock in steady work on EBA rates across a broad range of major civil construction, utility and industrial projects. In this position, you will be tasked with producing quality carpentry and formwork while upholding the highest standards of safety, workmanship and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
Carrying out carpentry and formwork tasks in line with project requirements
Setting out, levelling and measuring from drawings and specifications
Assembling and fixing formwork panels, metal props, brackets and clamps
Supporting concrete pouring, screeding and finishing activities
Undertaking steel fixing, conduit laying and pipe laying tasks as needed
Stripping, cleaning and stacking formwork ready for reuse
Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications
Completing work safely, on schedule and to a high standard of quality
Adhering to site safety procedures and company policies
Working cooperatively with supervisors, operators and construction crews
What we're looking for
Trade-qualified Carpenter with relevant qualifications
At least 2 years' experience across carpentry, formwork or civil construction
Proven ability assembling and fixing formwork systems
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Capable of sustained physically demanding manual work
Current Construction Induction (White Card)
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and best practice
Prepared to work across a range of project sites throughout Victoria
Background in steel fixing, conduit laying or pipe laying is a plus
Prior experience in civil construction environments is well regarded
Previous work on substations, terminal stations or data centre projects is well regarded
VESI training and plant equipment tickets are a plus
Prepared to complete a Medical and Police Check
